Slavens - William Thomas

The death of William Thomas Slavens, age 70 years, prominent  farmer of Clinton township, occurred at the Putnam County  Hospital, in Greencastle, Sunday night at 10:55 o'clock after an  illness extending over three years. Mr. Slavens was taken to the  hospital four weeks ago. Mr. Slavens was born and had spent his  entire life in Clinton Township. He served as trustee of Clinton  Township for two terms a number of years ago. He is survived by  two children: George Slavens of Waveland; Mrs. Nora B. Tuttle,  Anderson St., Greencastle; two brothers, L.C. Slavens of  Indianapolis, and Homer Slavens of Clinton Township and one  sister, Mrs. H.C. Bowen of Peru. Funeral services were held from  the Clinton Falls Methodist Church at 10:30 Tuesday morning with  interment at Clinton Falls Cemetery.
